In 2025, Google plans to fully implement Gemini

en.bedadung.com -- Gemini-related announcements dominated Google's 2024. The tech giant changed the name of the AI chatbot from Bard to Gemini back in February. A number of new and improved models were then released to enhance the chatbot's functionality.

In November, a stand-alone Gemini app was released for iOS, giving additional people access to the chatbot's conversational Gemini Live assistant. Google Chrome for desktop is probably going to follow.

Google's 2025 prognosis for Gemini suggests that this trajectory will continue, with CEO Sundar Pichai stating in a recent strategy meeting with staff that "Scaling Gemini on the consumer side" is the company's top priority (via CNBC).

The CEO underlined the need for rapid development, claiming that the stakes are high because of the heightened rivalry in the AI space. "I think it’s really important we internalise the urgency of this moment, and need to move faster as a company," Pichai stated. "These are times of disruption. We must remain steadfastly committed to maximising the advantages of this technology and resolving actual user issues by 2025.

Gemini is the 16th Google app or service to reach the five-hundred million monthly user milestone, joining 15 other apps from the tech giant that have done so. "Scaling Gemini on the consumer side will be our biggest focus next year," Pichai stated.

A number of Gemini updates are anticipated in 2025's first half.

Since its February introduction, Google has already seen a spike in the number of people choosing the Gemini mobile app, and 2025 is probably going to witness an even greater increase in this trend. Demis Hassabis, co-founder of Google DeepMind, went on to say that "the products themselves are going to evolve massively over the next year or two"; by the first half of 2025, a wealth of Gemini upgrades would be available. In answer to a query from an employee on OpenAI's ChatGPT being a byword for artificial intelligence, Hassabis stated that.

In addition, Hassabis stated that DeepMind has no intention of charging $200 per month "like other companies" (OpenAI) for the use of Project Astra, its experimental AI prototype, which will be updated in the first half of 2025.
