Review: Creating content is a breeze with ShiftCam's SnapGrip bundle
en.bedadung.com -- Great content can now be easily created anywhere thanks to smartphones. No matter which of the top Android phones you own, they will take excellent photos whether you're filming a video for your channel or just documenting special moments with your family. ShiftCam's SnapSeries accessory range provides those who want to improve their content with quick and simple ways to capture better images. The company offers a variety of entry-level accessories, such as lights and grips, to help you produce amazing footage.
As the name implies, there are a few items in the bundle I received, but practically all of them are available for separate purchase. Since ShiftCam focuses on providing an ecosystem of accessories for content creation, it's convenient that you may select the items you need to create the package you desire. I was given a bundle dubbed the Travelling Kit, which comes with a SnapGrip Pro ($89), SnapStand Selfie ($59), and SnapPocket Light ($39). The group costs $187 and comes in Midnight and Stone hues. It's an investment, but right now it's on sale.
ShiftCam provides a Photography Kit, Vlogging Kit, and Filmmaking Kit in addition to the Traveling Kit. The Snap accessories line consists of nine distinct items. In the next weeks, you can purchase them straight from Amazon or the ShiftCam website.

What’s good about the ShiftCam SnapSeries Bundle?
Create content in a snap. The best thing about the SnapSeries bundle is how easy it is to use. Everything snaps together magnetically so you can be ready to capture content in a few seconds. They are all designed to work with your phone and can be used individually or snapped all together for the ultimate setup. ShiftCam even includes a magnetic ring to attach to your Android phone or case for accessory use.
The SnapGrip Pro is an upgraded version of the SnapGrip, which adds a DSLR-inspired camera grip and Qi2 power bank to your phone to keep it steady and topped up while filming. The added grip and shutter button make it much easier to snap photos and videos anywhere. Once paired to your phone via Bluetooth, all it takes is simply opening the camera app, then pressing once to take pictures or holding for a few seconds to instantly record a video.
The SnapStand Selfie might be my favorite part of the bundle. I’ve always been judgmental of anyone using a selfie stick, but the SnapStand Selfie might have converted me. To be fair, it is a bit more advanced than a typical selfie stick, but the added functionality is what might make me a believer. Firstly, the head where the phone attaches has a 200-degree rotation to help facilitate a good shot, and its design offers more stability while it's held. Secondly, the handle doubles as a tripod so you can set it up quickly when you need to get a stable shot.
And thirdly, there’s a little Bluetooth shutter button that you can detach and hold in your hand while filming. That alone was a game changer for me when filming a video review recently. I could quickly snap my phone on the stand and either hold it or set it right where I needed it, then just press the button to start and stop recording. It made filming so much faster than using my standard tripod setup.

The stand also includes a phone clip, so you can technically secure your device to the stand without the magnetic sticker. But it’s a bit hard to use, and it might not work with every phone. And truth be told, the included magnetic sticker is the best one I’ve ever used for getting MagSafe-like utility on an Android phone.
What’s bad about the ShiftCam SnapSeries Bundle?
Good hardware, with no software to back it up

For all the utility the SnapSeries accessories bring to content creation, they’re not perfect. For starters, the annoying things I found about the original SnapGrip are still present. Pressing the button when not in the camera app adjusts the volume, of all things. The action's most obvious function could be to automatically open the camera app once pressed -— it seems like a missed opportunity.
This is the perfect accessory collection to build an app for, yet there are no software enhancements or features to speak of at all — not even a camera filter or shutter button settings. As this is geared directly at content creators, the lack of a killer app with some good content features is a real deficit for content creators and photography enthusiasts.
As far as the accessories go, though the SnapStand Selfie is great, the stand's head does not rotate horizontally. I totally get that it’s a selfie stand, but sometimes it’d be nice to quickly rotate the camera to capture a different shot.
And the third accessory in the bunch, the SnapPocket Light, I found to be mostly useless. It works and does what it's supposed to do, but it just doesn't get bright enough to really make much of a difference, at least for my content needs. If you typically film in darker places, or you do a lot of closeup videos (like make-up tutorials possibly), then it might be useful. In that case, however, I’d recommend the new studio light instead as it’s much brighter and more useful.
Should you buy it?
As someone who does very basic video content, I can easily recommend the SnapSeries accessories. Of course, you don't need every product, but there’s absolutely something you can use to help up your content game pretty quickly. Everything is incredibly easy to use, compact, and lightweight enough to travel. If you’re a smartphone content creator, the SnapSeries Travelling Kit bundle is a great addition to your gear. ***
