Preview of the Google Pixel 9a: Price, specs, release date, and more

en.bedadung.com -- The new mid-range phone from the firm is called the Google Pixel 9a. The Pixel 8a was released in May 2024, and its replacement is anticipated in 2025. Because of their affordable prices, smartphones from the "Pixel a" series are often highly popular in the US. Even though Google hasn't increased the prices much over the past year, they're still quite tempting buys.

We'll be updating this post as further leaks of this smartphone are anticipated in the upcoming months. The leaks did begin to appear some time ago. We've exclusively disclosed certain details regarding the gadget; more rumors and leaks will fill in the blanks. Having said that, let's check out what the Pixel 9a has in store.

As new details about the Google Pixel 9a (this is a preview article) become available in the lead-up to the anticipated Android smartphone's release, this post will be updated often. These details will include official teases as well as reliable leaks, rumors, and insider claims. This is the article's initial posting.

When is the Google Pixel 9a going to be available?

The Pixel 9a won't be available very soon. While there have been several rumors and leaks, the Pixel 9a is not anticipated to ship until the middle of 2025. The Pixel 9a may arrive in 2025 in the same manner as the Pixel 8a, which debuted in May 2024 during Google I/O. This suggests a debut in May 2025. Naturally, there's a potential that Google will alter when it releases the device. Because the Pixel 9 flagships arrived two months ahead of schedule, the corporation took that action for them. This phone might as well, given that Android 16 is expected to release much sooner than usual. It is rumored that Android 16 will launch in Q2 2025 as opposed to Q4 2025, as is customary. However, the launch date for the Pixel 9a hasn't leaked yet, so we'll have to wait and see.

Which models will be available soon?

Google only released one Pixel 8a model last year, and we anticipate that the Pixel 9a will follow suit. There will only be one version of the phone available, even though it will probably have multiple storage options. Unlike in the past, we won't be receiving a smaller and larger model or anything like. It might even have a comparable size to the Pixel 8a. With a 6.1-inch display, that phone is somewhat larger than flagship smartphones with the same screen size, even though its bezels were not as tiny as those on flagships. The Pixel 9a might adhere to the same pattern. Google may continue to provide the 128GB and 256GB storage combinations that were available for the Pixel 8a. That is, unless—and this is less likely—the business decides to switch to a 256GB and 512GB storage capacity combo.

What is the price of the Google Pixel 9a?

The cost of the Google Pixel 9a has not yet been made public. But the price might be rather close to that of the Pixel 8a. Recall that the Pixel 8a had a $499 initial price. We'd venture to think that Google will either add $50 to the price of its successor or keep it exactly the same. So, if we had to guess, the price will be either $499 or $549. That is, of course, assuming that the business will continue to provide the 128GB storage variant. The price may be as low as $549 or as high as $599 if the 256GB storage option is made the standard model, though the latter is less likely. To add $100 to the price of the Pixel 8a would be a tad excessive. Making this phone as inexpensive as feasible is its main goal.

What design will the Google Pixel 9a have?

There were a few occasions when this particular detail was revealed. A real-life picture of the Pixel 9a surfaced online back in August. Renders created using CAD that we only shared came next. The rear camera island section of those two designs differs slightly from one another. There is a tiny camera bump visible in the phone's real-life photo. The same pill-shaped design is shown in the CAD-based renders that we displayed, but the hump and the bezel surrounding the camera are absent. We can't be positive, but it's probable that the phone shown in real life was only a prototype.

This time, the sides will be flat.

In any case, you may view the Pixel 9a's design by looking through the gallery at the conclusion of this piece. To make the phone compatible with other Pixel 9 devices, Google is changing the phone's sides to be flat on all sides. The sides of the Pixel 8a's frame were rounded. The Pixel 9a's sides are flat, however they gently curve inward toward the corners to improve handling comfort. Of course, the frame will be composed of metal, most likely aluminum. The front will have a flat display with a camera hole positioned in the center of it. Although they won't be as tiny as those on the Pixel 9 Pro series, the bezels will still be relatively thin.

There will be absolutely no camera bump.

The two cameras are cut out in the shape of a pill on the back, and there is an LED flash next to it. The top-left corner of the phone's back houses that cutout. As usual, Google's logo will be positioned in the center of the backplate. The power/lock key is positioned above the volume up and down keys on the right-hand side of the phone, along with all other physical buttons. It's also important to note that the phone's back will be made of glass rather than plastic. Though we're yet unsure, the gadget itself is anticipated to be roughly the same size as the Pixel 8a.

There are four color variations available.

There are four color options for the Google Pixel 9a at launch. We have the exclusive knowledge of these colors: Iris, Obsidian, Peony, and Porcelain. As of now, Obsidian and Porcelain are colors that you are all well acquainted with. Stated otherwise, those are the same black and white hues that we have seen on several Pixels thus far. The Iris color will be a bluish-purple choice, while the Peony color will resemble the Peony Pixel 9. (*)
