Magnetic wireless charging will be supported by the OnePlus 13
Magnetic wireless charging will be supported by the OnePlus 13. Li Jie, the President of OnePlus China, has attested to such. But in a somewhat strange way, he did confirm it.
When Li Jie disclosed that information, he was answering fan inquiries on Weibo. He was questioned if bamboo cases would become popular again. According to him, OnePlus does not currently have any plans to return them for the OnePlus 13.

But he went on to say that wood grain cases are on the way. Additionally, he stated that the cases will also incorporate the "magnetic suction function." Thus, he essentially affirmed that magnetic wireless charging would be supported by the phone.
It is currently unknown if the phone will enable this type of charging generally or only when an official case is included in the package. In order to magnetize a charger back to the phone itself, it would be convenient if it supported it even without a case. We'll have to wait and see.
However, this is not really shocking. Why? Because OnePlus' sibling business, OPPO, is following that path. OPPO is actually preparing a line of magnetic accessories for its future OPPO Find X8 smartphones.
Both OnePlus & OPPO will offer magnetic accessories
It seems like OPPO and OnePlus will end up having a MagSafe-like line of magnetic accessories for wireless charging. Chances are that OnePlus users will be able to utilize OPPO accessories, and vice versa.
The OnePlus 13 is slated to launch in China at some point this month. We still don’t have an official confirmation on that. The global variant will come at a later date, though, we’re still not sure when.
The phone will be fuelled by Qualcomm’s new CPU, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 aka Snapdragon 8 Elite. We’re still not convinced about the name. A 6,000mAh battery is also mentioned, as is 50W wireless charging. A huge 2K LTPO AMOLED display will also be incorporated, and much more. (*)
